Health professionals from the Rambam Health Campus will propose challenges that they face in their clinical practice. Prior to the datathon, participant will make a wish list to enroll in one of these projects. Teams and assignments will be announced at the event Teams will then work on the topic during the two-days long datathon. Teams will include health professionals, data scientists and enthusiasts (anyone else) passionate about healthcare, data analytics, and cross-disciplinary collaboration to answer clinical questions and health system challenges.

At the end of the second day, teams will present their results and three teams will be selected to present their project during the conference day on the 9th. There the finalists will be evaluated by a jury consisting of engineer, clinicians and health stakeholders and the winner announced.

This joint event organized by the Technion, Rambam Health Care Campus and the MIT Critical Data group will provide a unique opportunity to listen to leading engineers and clinicians working in the field of medical data science. The guest talks sessions will introduce to a wide audience to the field of clinical data science, including those with both technical and non-technical backgrounds and provide a perspective on its future impact to the field of medicine.
